Sometimes the glow-up was of course also helped from the outside, not only with make-up brushes, but also with hyaluron injections. But what the Internet influencers can do, the moon has been able to do for a long time (that is, not to influence, but at least to shine).
Supermoon he calls himself, quite immodestly, in times of the moon glow-up. On Wednesday evening, people in some parts of Germany were able to admire this glowing super moon for the second time in just a few weeks. Because of its proximity to Earth, the supermoon is bright and particularly large, especially while it is rising.
According to the German Weather Service, it was particularly easy to see in north-eastern Germany on Wednesday evening, for example in Schwerin, Rostock, Warnemünde and Berlin. And of course in Dresden, where it rises in our picture behind the dome of the art academy, on the top of which the angel Fama is enthroned.
In other parts of Germany, for example in Cologne or Munich, the view of the super moon was blocked by clouds – glow-up lovers also know this from Instagram, where it is called “labelled advertising”.
A super moon can be seen when the moon comes particularly close to the earth in its elliptical orbit – and at the same time there is a full moon. After two super moons in June and July of this year, the moon will not be so super again until August 1, 2023.
