The bodies of those killed in the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash near Aktau on December 25 will be handed over to their families today.
As Day.Az reports, the director of the Association of Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, Adalat Hasanov, told reporters today at Heydar Aliyev International Airport after the delivery of the bodies of the crew members and 21 passengers who died in the plane crash.
“The bodies of our compatriots who died as a result of a plane crash near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan were delivered to their homeland. From here, the bodies of the dead will be sent to the units of the Association in specially designated vehicles. Three units have been allocated for this: the bureau of pathological anatomy on Sharifzade Street, the branch in Sabunchu district and a branch in the Nasimi district, an examination of the bodies and a forensic medical examination will be carried out in the morgues, after which the expert opinions will be handed over. to the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Then the bodies of the victims will be delivered to their addresses for burial today,” he said.
