He is wearing a light green military uniform and is trying to bring down a Furia drone – a two-meter wingspan, five and a half kilograms, Ukrainian-made. Controlled.
His eyes and those of his classmates are fixed on the white fiberglass aircraft when suddenly, about three meters above their heads, a red and white parachute comes out of the drone with a bang. The parachute inflates and the Furia glides into the open field at the edge of the forest as if in slow motion.
“The drone has completed its mission and is back at the starting point. That was a scheduled landing,” says Ruslan — he is one of the instructors at the first and only drone school of the United Armed Forces of Ukraine. For security reasons, Ruslan does not want his full name to be revealed.
