Which regions have the lowest and highest interest rates on loans?

As of October 1, 2024, credit investments of banks in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to 26 billion 705 million 792 thousand manats, of which 76.8 percent or 20 billion 508 million 705 thousand manats came from Baku.

Day.Az reports this with reference to the regulatory authority.

According to the information, loans at the lowest interest rates were issued by banks during this period in the city of Baku, and at the highest interest rates – in the Gorno-Shirvan economic region.

Thus, the average interest rate on general loans issued by banks in the city of Baku during this period was 11.65 percent, and the average interest rate on loans issued in national currency was 13.37 percent.

During the reporting period, credit investments of banks in the Gorno-Shirvan economic region amounted to 179 million 179 thousand manats. The average interest rate on all issued loans was 19.18 percent, and the average interest rate on loans in national currency was 19.21 percent.
