According to exit poll data, the Georgian Dream party occupies a leading position in the parliamentary elections in Georgia.

As Day.Az reports, according to exit poll data from the Gorbi company, conducted by the Imedi television company, by 18:00 the party ratings in the elections were distributed as follows:

• “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia” – 56.1%

• “Unity – National Movement” – 11.6%

• “Strong Georgia – Lelo, for the people, for freedom” – 7.0%

• “Coalition for Change – Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa” – 12.6%

• “Gakharia for Georgia” – 4.8%.

Parliamentary elections in Georgia ended at 20:00, with a total number of registered voters of 3,508,294 people.

18 electoral subjects were registered to participate in the elections on October 26, including:

For the first time in elections in Georgia, more than 90% of polling stations were equipped with electronic voting technologies. In 10% of polling stations where fewer than 300 voters were registered, voting took place according to the traditional pattern. A total of 3,044 polling stations were opened across the country, including 13 exceptional polling stations: 12 in penitentiary institutions and one in a psychiatric center.

The new 150-seat parliament, elected according to a proportional system, will include parties that overcome the 5 percent electoral threshold.
