With the Wii you can play a game in a relaxed manner. But if the controller doesn’t turn on, that becomes difficult. We’ll show you the solution.
The Wii controller is one of the most important elements of the game console; after all, you have to start it in order to play a game. If the remote control doesn’t turn on, it’s more than annoying. Problems with the batteries are often behind it. We’ll explain how to get the controller working again.
Before you despair because the controllers aren’t working, you should take a look at the battery status. If these are empty, the remote controls no longer work. By the way, the use of batteries is not recommended with the Wii remote control. Proceed as follows:
If the batteries are still full or have been replaced and the controller still cannot be switched on, you should try unplugging the console. Wait about ten seconds before reconnecting and trying to start the Wii and controllers again. If that doesn’t help, try whether another controller can be connected to your Wii. If this is the case, the problem is definitely due to the defective remote control.
If you are using the controllers for the first time, they must be synchronized with the Wii so that you can play. Resynchronization can also help with problems with the remote control.
If the controller still cannot be switched on, there is probably a defect and you need to replace it. Contact Nintendo customer service if your device is still under warranty.
