Idman.biz informs that after a successful career in “Rubin” that lasted more than 12 years (2001-2013), the departure of the Turkmen-Russian specialist from the clubs where he worked was problematic.
In 2016, Berdayev resigned after making “Rostov” the silver medal of the Russian Championship for the first time in its history and qualified for the Champions League, explaining this by the club’s salary debt to coaches, players and members teams. Also, the reasons for his departure were disagreements with the leadership of the Rostov region regarding the strengthening of the team and a conflict with one of the sponsors of the club, the businessman Ivan Savvidi.
The second return to “Rubin” lasted only two years, he was fired in June 2019 before his contract with the club expired. The results of the coach’s team, who receives a salary of 3 million euros per year, and the game he showed were not at the heart of the club’s management. Berdiyev’s “Rubin” took first 10th place and then 11th place in the Russian Championship in two seasons.
Then he took a break from his coaching career for two years, and finally returned to “Kayrat”, where he was playing and training as a football player, in August 2021. We also remember that Berdiyev’s team lost in face “Qarabag” in both games of the Conference Series with the same score – 1:2.
In May 2022, the Almaty representative fan club asked Berdiyev to allow the football team to play attack or quit. in June, six months before the end of the coach’s contract, he left the Kazakhstan club, which had financial problems.
In the same month, Berdiyev, who started working for “Tractor”, who played in the Iranian championship, played only 11 games in the Tabriz club. Unexpectedly, in November 2022, he decided to return to Russia, where he received a more favorable offer. The fans of the representative of South Azerbaijan reacted to the unexpected departure of the coach as follows:

At the end of that year, Berdiyev, who was appointed as the head coach of “Sochi” for two and a half years, was able to stay there for three and a half months: he had to leave the club from April 2023. The coach probably decided not to “prolong the torture”, realizing that he could not do more with the team. Another version of the separation was a conflict with management. Therefore, the management of the club was not satisfied with the results and playing style of the Berdiyev team.
Although Berdayev started the 2023/24 season at Dynamo Makhachkala, he unexpectedly left the Russian First League leaders club during the winter break. It is said that the level of investment in the club did not satisfy the old coach. Therefore, there was not enough budget to sign contracts with strong players. According to another possibility, Berdiyev did not like the occasional intervention of the club’s president, Haji Hajiyev, who himself has great coaching experience.
Hajiyev himself said in this regard: “What are the possibilities? Maybe Berdiyev wants a team at another level. Maybe we couldn’t invite all the players he wanted. But this is just our assumption.”
Also, although it was reported that Berdiyev had received a more favorable offer to work for the Azerbaijani national team, he came to our country in June, not February, when that conversation came out. Not for the national team, but for “Turan Tovuz” and by agreement for a period of 2+1 years. By the way, at that time “Sportinfo” reported that an experienced coach will earn 250 thousand dollars in the first year, and this figure will increase by 100 thousand dollars in the next season.
