The National Oil Corporation announced its success in drilling and restarting nearly 5 new wells with a production capacity of about 12 thousand barrels per day during the first ten days of this October.

According to the Corporation, Mellitah Company succeeded in restarting the “A-28” well in the Abu Attifel oil field, in implementation of the Corporation’s strategic plan to raise production rates.

The well’s test results showed its production capacity of 1,820 barrels per day of crude oil, according to the corporation.

For its part, Sharara oil field“>Akakus completed drilling two development wells “A41H” and “A44” in the Sharara oil field, located in the A-NC115 reservoir, with a production capacity of 7 thousand barrels per day of crude.

According to the corporation, the initial results showed that the two wells contain high-quality rock and reservoir characteristics, and they are expected to enter the production line in the near future.

Al-Khaleej Company also announced its success in converting the “G224” well in the Nafoura field from operating with the gas artificial lift system to operating with the advanced “Saker Road” system.

It is expected that the production capacity of the well with its new system will reach 600 barrels per day, which reaches a depth of 10,000 feet, which is an unprecedented depth in any oil field in Libya, according to the corporation.

As for Al-Sarir Company, the Corporation stated that it was able to drill the “B54” well in the Al-Sara field in contractual area A91, with a production capacity of 2,400 barrels per day.

The company indicated that the production of the new well may reach 3,000 barrels per day after the final tests are completed and the field returns to production again.

According to the corporation, this comes in implementation of strategic plans to increase the production capacity of oil fields.
