“8 Women” Exhibition & Diverse Cultural Events Enrich Teyran’s December Calendar
Table of Contents
A compelling series of events, anchored by the “8 Women” exhibition, is set to invigorate the cultural landscape of Teyran through December 27. The exhibition, a collaborative effort between Diabolo and Audrey, aims to showcase the diversity and singularities of Western women through collected testimonies spanning all ages and backgrounds.
Celebrating Female Voices Through Art
The “8 Women” exhibition serves as a powerful platform for female expression. According to organizers, the project was born from a desire to amplify the voices of women and provide a space for shared experiences. The exhibition will remain open to the public until December 27, offering a unique opportunity for reflection and connection.
Workshops & Discussions on Modern Parenthood
Beyond the visual arts, Teyran’s December calendar features a series of workshops and discussions focused on the complexities of modern parenthood. On Friday, December 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., author Perrine Benoist from the Our Children, Ourselves collective will lead a meeting for adults. The discussion will center around the collective’s feminist parenting guide, which offers insights and practical tools addressing topics ranging from childbirth and assisted reproduction to co-parenting and addressing violence against children.
Saturday, December 29, will be dedicated to workshops designed to support parents’ well-being. At 10:30 a.m., a session will focus on self-care for parents, encouraging attendees to prioritize their own needs without guilt. Later, at 2 p.m., Mélanie Bouthors will lead a workshop on cultivating confidence and esteem in children, providing concrete strategies for fostering internal security. Both workshops are designed for adults and will last 1 hour and 30 minutes. Registration is required via email at [email protected] or by phone at 04 67 16 19 13.
Performing Arts Take Center Stage
The village hall will also host a theatrical performance on Saturday, December 29, at 8:30 p.m. Ismene, a play by Carole Fréchette, directed by Marion Coutarel and performed by Mama Prassinos, will be presented for audiences aged 12 and up. The performance has a duration of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Creative Expression for All Ages
The cultural program extends to younger audiences as well. On Friday, December 5, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Diabolo Bohême will invite children to participate in “Self-portrait in grass,” a workshop encouraging creative expression through photographic plant portraits. Later that same evening, from 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Marilyne Ferro’s choreographic group will present “A certain disorder,” a contemporary dance performance suitable for all audiences. Registration for the dance performance is required via SMS to 06 62 74 08 76.
Access to each event is generally free and open to the public, with some exceptions requiring prior registration. For local news coverage, the Midi Libre correspondent can be reached at 06 58 81 40 02.
