The National Oil Corporation, in cooperation with Schlumberger International, organized a workshop over the course of October 27 and 28 on submersible pump techniques used in oil wells..

The workshop reviewed “the latest technologies in the field of submersible pumps, clarifying the main reasons that affect their operational life, whether by extending or shortening them, in addition to discussing effective solutions to extend their life and improve their performance with the aim of increasing production capacity.”

The Director of Production Department at the National Oil Corporation and the General Manager of Schlumberger in Libya participated in the workshop, along with managers and specialists from the company, a number of engineers, supervisors and coordinators of production operations, well drilling and maintenance engineers, and specialists in submersible pump operations from the Corporation and operating oil companies.

The organization of this workshop comes “within the framework of the directives of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation to keep pace with the latest technologies in this field, and in line with the corporation’s strategy that aims to raise production rates to the highest level during the coming period.”
