Xiaomi has introduced a new generation of its foldable smartphone – model Mix Fold 3. Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will enter the market with a proprietary MIUI Fold 14 shell based on the Android 13 operating system, optimized for folding smartphones. In China, the novelty will cost from $1.2 thousand.
The novelty received a flexible 8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2K (2160×1916 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an external 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels. Both displays support Dolby Vision and HDR10+, while the outer screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Mix Fold 3 is built on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip in the Leading Version, which is combined with 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 256, 512 GB or 1 TB of internal memory. The smartphone has a 20MP front camera and a main module with a 50MP lens, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 10MP periscope lens.
The cameras and imaging software are co-created with Leica, the smartphone’s external screen can be used as a viewfinder when taking a selfie with the main camera, and the internal screen can be used to view the captured photos without closing the camera when taking a photo.
The 4800 mAh battery consists of two cells, supporting 67 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. Among other things, the smartphone is equipped with Harman Kardon speakers and has an NFC module. Sales of Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will begin this summer.
