This feature adjustment is in the HyperOS operating system update.
“Due to compliance requirements, we regret to inform you, that we have removed the “Play video sound with screen off” function in video toolbox feature and “Turn off screen” function in game toolbox feature via Over-The-Air (OTA) update ),” the notification said.
Xiaomi is gradually removing the video sound playback feature with the screen off from its HyperOS operating system.
Also included in MIUI 12, MIUI 13, and MIUI 14 systems.
This feature, which existed in apps like YouTube, previously allowed users who were not premium subscribers to listen to the music they wanted in the background.
