After a dominant start to the game, the Italians deservedly took the lead after 34 minutes. Tommaso Della Mora’s 1-0 win equals a performance – but it doesn’t last long. Shortly before the break, Tristan Jost equalized for the young Bernese. The 1:1 at the break is more than flattering for YB.
Shortly after the restart, the Nerazzurri took the lead again, this time through Matteo Cocchi. But two minutes later, Inter weakened itself: Daniele Quieto received his second yellow card and had to leave the field after 56 minutes with a yellow-red card. YB took advantage of this almost immediately to equalize again at 2-2 through Rhodri Smith.

YB is better and should win the game. However, the Bernese U19 team, coached by André Niederhäuser, lost undeservedly: Christos Alexiou scored with a free kick in the 87th minute to make the final score 3-2 from the Italian perspective. What bad luck!
«After the 2:2 we played for victory. We were crazy, courageous, well-organized and managed as a unit to find the right balance between attack and defense,” says coach André Niederhäuser, “which makes the defeat against a really strong team even worse. In the end, mini decides. But I don’t blame my team. On the contrary: I’m proud of her.”
