(Irfan Malik) In the year 2024, the police was faced with protests and criminals as well as terrorism.
In the attacks, 44 officers and personnel of the Punjab Police were martyred, more than 300 young men and officers were injured, the terrorists of Fitna Khawarij made 17 attacks on the posts of the Punjab Police which were foiled, 58 robbers were killed during the police encounters in Lahore. While 111 injured were arrested.
6904 gangs involved in serious crimes were eliminated across the province including Lahore, 17 thousand 198 criminals of criminal gangs were arrested, stolen property worth more than 05 billion 25 crore rupees was recovered, involved in mass rape incidents in 2024. 1496 criminals were arrested, 1436 criminals involved in kidnapping for ransom including children were arrested.
In the year 2024, more than 01 lakh 12 thousand raids were conducted on the hideouts of drug dealers across the province including Lahore, 66376 suspects involved in drug trafficking were arrested, 58756 cases were registered.
Under the leadership of IG Punjab, where measures were taken for the welfare of the police, the best measures were seen to provide relief to the people of the province.
