Ranked 102nd when returning in April… 1st place in prize money

Yoon Ina (21, photo) became No. 1 in the K-ranking of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour about six months after returning after being disciplined for ‘playing wrong balls’.

In the K rankings announced on the 7th, Yoon Ina rose to first place with 11.39 points, beating second place Park Ji-young (10.42 points). When it returned in April, it rose 101 places from 102nd. Lee Ye-won (10.41 points), who was in first place, fell to third place. Yoon Ina played incorrectly at the Korea Women’s Open in June 2022 and was suspended for three years in September of that year, but the punishment was reduced to one year and six months ahead of this season. After returning, Ina Yoon won the Jeju Samdasoo Masters in August and has consistently performed well, including four runner-up finishes and three third-place finishes. He also tied for 3rd place in the Hite Jinro Championship, the last major tournament of the season that ended on the 6th, and also took first place in prize money (KRW 1.1361 billion). Yoon Ina recorded an average score of 70.05 strokes, beating Park Ji-young with 70.09 strokes to take first place, and in target points, she is in second place (485 points) after first place Park Hyun-kyung (487 points).

Yoon Ina is expected to be ranked highest among domestic tour players in the women’s golf world rankings to be announced on the 8th. As of the 7th, Yoon Ina is ranked 35th (2.72 points), and is the second domestic player, 0.02 points behind Lee Ye-won (34th). There is a high possibility that Lee Ye-won missed the cut at the Hite Jinro Championship and the ranking will change.
