While BYD has become Tesla’s main rival, Geely is becoming a Chinese “Volkswagen”, with a conglomeration of several brands, some famous and some new, such as Zeekr.
This new Geely brand focuses on more sophisticated and electrified products, being practically a Chinese brand with a Swedish soul, different from Polestar and Link & Co.
Already promoting the brand in China and with eyes on Europe, Geely showed the Zeekr 003, an electric compact crossover that will hit the Chinese market in the coming months.
Known as the BXE1, the Zeekr 003 is a model built on the SEA modular and scalable electric platform, Scalable Electric Architecture, the same as the Smart #1, for example.

This Zeekr model – which has the 001 crossover and the 009 minivan – should be around 4.50 m long, as Smart #1 is 4.27 m and it was photographed next to an Audi e-tron GT, which is 4.99 m.
Its layout also reveals that its level of automation in driver assistance will be high, with LiDAR laser radar and a group of sensors that will monitor the external environment of the 003.
It should be remembered that Volvo has already foreseen the use of LiDAR in its future cars as a series item, as well as Zeekr must do with its model range, still in formation.
With horizontal full LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, in a higher position, it leaves the front look very expressive and different, while the bulky bodywork highlights the very wide C-pillars.
At the rear, the lanterns are horizontal in LED, with rear-wheel drive propulsion with 272 horsepower or 422 horsepower with four-wheel drive.
