[한국기행] I’m so happy to have you Part 3 – My life’s blessings “Myeong-ga, a wild vegetable that grows at the foot of Goseong Mountain”

At the foot of Goseong Mountain, where green waves roll over under a clear sky, I met Kim Gyeong-ae and Je Wook-mo, a couple who have been returning to their village for 15 years.

Did you know that mountain garlic, commonly grown in Ulleungdo and Gangwon-do, grows in the warm southern lands?

If it doesn’t work, make it happen! It is said that thanks to the unstoppable persistence of Je Uk-mo, a self-proclaimed straight-laced man, he succeeded in cultivating 100,000 people in 4 years at the foot of Mt. Goseong. They planted them one by one, and before they knew it, the entire mountain, an area the size of 30 soccer fields, was filled with the trees.

His wife, Kyeong-ae, sometimes worries about her husband, who has the drive to accomplish whatever he sets his mind to.

That’s because her husband, who works so hard during the day and takes care of shiitake mushrooms at night, often gets in trouble every time.

The whole family came out to help him!

It is said that even the son and son-in-law rolled up their sleeves and started harvesting.

Mom’s table prepared by Myeong Bom for her family who worked hard and worked hard! The refreshing taste of spring fills your mouth and your fatigue quickly disappears as if it had never happened before.

Myeong, the harbinger of spring that grows with the energy of the mountains, leaves for the harvest field.
