Egyptian media quoted security sources as confirming the liquidation of one of the attackers, while the Egyptian newspaper Al-Dustour reported that security forces arrested a second terrorist after he was injured while chasing him. The Egyptian “Youm 7” website previously quoted security sources in the Ministry of Interior as announcing that the security forces were able to eliminate one of the attackers and pursue another terrorist who escaped on a motorcycle, and the outlets and entrances to the area were closed in preparation for his arrest. The website confirmed that security personnel dismantled an explosive belt that was in the possession of the terrorist who was eliminated.
