Yaka Beul celebrates (Reuters)
Udinese came back from behind and beat Verona 1:2 away in the 93rd minute in a game that closed the eighth round in the Italian league. The black-whites continued their dream start to the season with six consecutive wins in the league and are in third place in the table.
The start of the game did not foreshadow what was to come, in the 23rd minute, Verona’s 20-year-old left back, Josh Doig, scored the first for the host. In the second half, Beto came on as a substitute in the 58th minute and scored the equalizer in the 70th minute after a header from Gerard Deulofeu. Everything seemed already that the game would end in a draw, but in the 93rd minute, Jaka Beul scored the second goal for Udinese and determined the result of the game.
Udinese will look to continue the momentum next week, when they host Atalanta, who are one place above them in the table. On the other hand, Verona will be looking for a first win after three consecutive losses at Salernitana next Sunday.
