The twins died on the same day in strange circumstances within hours of each other.

Sumar and Sohan Singh, twins from Parmar, Rajasthan, India, have covered 900 km across different states. They lived far away.

Sumer died after falling from the terrace of his house in Surat, Gujarat. Sohan died after falling into a water tank in Jaipur.

The bodies of the two brothers were cremated on Thursday (January 12) in their native village Charno Ka Thala.

“Sumar slipped and fell while talking on the phone on Wednesday night. “Sohan, who returned home after hearing the news of his brother’s death, fell into the water tank early on Thursday,” said Surendra Singh, officer from Barmar police station.

Bokar Ram, a resident of their village, said the twins have two more siblings. He said that Sumar and Sohan have had a strong bond since childhood.

“Sumar did not excel academically. But Sumar would advise Sohan to work hard and excel academically.

“To help Sohan study well and become a teacher, Sumar went to Surat in search of livelihood,” said the villager.
