This information was informed in a press release signed by Abdul Malek, Information Officer of the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday (October 10).

According to the notification, two teams of the Ministry of Commerce supervise the market to keep the price of daily necessities stable and control the market situation. At this time, the monitoring team fined a shop owner 7 thousand rupees.

A team of the Ministry of Commerce conducts market surveillance activities at the capital’s Banani raw market. The surveillance team is led by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Sultana Akhter.

At this time, rice, dal, eggs, flour, green chillies, vegetables, fish and chicken markets are supervised in the daily essential products. The team members check the purchase receipts along with the price list.

Various instructions are given besides warning the various institutions for not hanging the price list properly, not writing it properly, not updating and saving the list. In the campaign, it can be observed that the prices of eggs, onions and potatoes have decreased a little compared to the last few days, the notice said.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the purchase prices of eggs, onions, green chillies, chicken and rice were verified in the raw market of Hazaribag Tannery Junction in the capital. It was urged to hang the updated price list of chicken, rice, potatoes, onions and other products. This campaign was led by commerce. Ministry Deputy Secretary Mohammad Zakir Hossain.

In the raid, a shop was fined seven thousand rupees for not having a price list and keeping expired products. Officials of various departments under the Ministry of Commerce were present in the raid.
