The export sector of Armenia is falling into the abyss. Former SRC Chairman

by times news cr

In Armenia, the non-exportable sector is flourishing, while the exportable sector is falling into the abyss, former SRC chairman Davit Ananyan said.

“During the last two years, the ‌goverment has not‍ implemented any function ‌that would diversify the economy in one way or another, and the economic benefits received from sectors bearing external‌ influence would be effectively directed to the‌ exportable sectors of the economy,”⁣ Ananyan⁢ said on ‌the air of the “Review” program.

According to the former chairman of the SRC, the government of Armenia ⁤pursues political rather than economic goals.

Ananyan noted that this government is not inclined to implement such programs that will ensure long-term results, on the contrary, it⁤ tries to be guided by programs aimed at‌ obtaining results in the short term, ‌because it has⁣ a desire to‍ reproduce.

“Economy and politics are intertwined, ‌moreover, in many cases it is indeed said ⁤that the economy dictates politics,” Ananyan emphasized.
