Assassin’s Creed is leaping into the world of Raid: Shadow Legends, with the crossover event launching today and running through April 8. The popular turn-based RPG is adding iconic heroes from Ubisoft’s franchise to its roster, following previous collaborations with Monster Hunter, Alien, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
A New Dungeon and Legendary Assassins
Players will have the chance to unlock some of the most recognizable faces from the Assassin’s Creed series, including Ezio Auditore, Edward Kenway, Kassandra, Bayek, and Basim Ibn Ishaq, within a dedicated new dungeon.
Plarium, the studio behind Raid: Shadow Legends, collaborated closely with Ubisoft to ensure the assassins’ skills, weapons, and animations remain true to the source material. Ronen Gross, Plarium’s VP of business development, explained, “Working with such a renowned IP set a high creative bar for us, yet the tone and variety of Assassin’s Creed world building made the crossover feel naturally aligned with Raid.”
How to Unlock the Assassins
Here’s a breakdown of how players can add these legendary figures to their Raid: Shadow Legends teams:
- Ezio: Available for free via the Loyalty Program on the 7th day of logging in, with additional rewards, including an Ezio avatar and in-game resources, available for up to 14 days.
- Kassandra: Accessible through a Fusion Event for all players from January 8th to January 24th, and subsequently through Shards until April 8th. Completing specific in-game events and tournaments is required to gather the necessary resources.
- Edward Kenway, Bayek, and Basim: Obtainable through Shards and limited-time events throughout the duration of the crossover.
While the crossover event is time-limited, any unlocked Assassin’s Creed characters will remain available to players beyond April 8.
Raid: Shadow Legends is available for free download on mobile devices via the App Store, Google Play, and Aptoide, as well as on PC through the Microsoft Store, Epic Store, Steam, and Plarium Play.
Fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise have several new titles to anticipate, including the free-to-play mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade, the unique “cat simulator” Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, a Fall Guys-inspired multiplayer game, and a new title developed specifically for Netflix. The most recent mainline installment, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released in 2025.
What makes a successful game crossover? Blending recognizable characters and lore with engaging gameplay is key, offering fans a fresh way to experience their favorite franchises.
