Searches for a 15-year-old boy who went missing after apparently staying near a water reservoir at a trough junction ended tragically with the boy’s body being found. When at some point his traces disappeared and the suspicion arose that the boy had stumbled into the water.
The special rescue unit of the BS station, in cooperation with the national rescue unit “Lehava” that was launched at the scene, began searches in the reservoir area. Rescue crews began searching and scanning the lake using boats above the water.
At the same time, search and rescue divers from the “Flame” unit began diving scans in the reservoir water. Unit divers were able to identify the boy’s body inside a 80,000 cubic meter reservoir and murky water where visibility is limited. The boy was dragged to the bank of the reservoir to the local medical forces, who were forced to determine his death.
