A command exercise was held: “The use of a special assembly squad in a special operation to prevent and disrupt mass disturbances”

The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs:

“From November 20 to 24, a command staff exercise on the topic of “Using a special assembly squad in a special operation to prevent and disrupt mass disturbances” was held. Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, Deputy Chief Minister of Police Aram Hovhannisyan, and Kotayk Marz Governor Aharon Sahakyan were present at the active stage of the exercise.

Before the start of the military exercise, they presented the weapons and equipment of the units.
The exercise was led by the commander of the police forces, police colonel Hayk Babayan.
Officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ police forces, Yerevan City Department, State Security and Criminal Police Main Departments, Economic, Medical, Forensic, Communication and Information Technology Departments, Patrol Service, Operational Management Center, and Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs educational complex participated.

The exercise was held in several stages.

A special operation is launched in order to prevent mass riots and restore public order. officers of the special purpose battalion neutralize the illegal armed groups and confiscate the weapons and ammunition in the vehicles.

Tactical operations are carried out using special techniques.

The groups of the special gathering squad fulfilled the tasks set before them with high professionalism.
The purpose of the exercise was to improve the practical skills of the MIA police operative headquarters and the special assembly squad, to develop the cooperation of the included forces and means.

At the end of the exercise, an awarding ceremony was held for outstanding police officers.”
