The French Cup, one of the most intriguing trophy establishments in European football that provides great sensations every year, continues to do so this year as well. Today (Sunday) some of the last 64 rounds of the cup were played and two teams from the senior league, Angers and Metz, lost to much inferior rivals – the amateur Lina-Monalleri from the fifth league and Berjarak from the fourth league. PSG easily advanced to the last 32, both Marseille, Monaco and Lance did their part and advanced to the next round and so did Saint-Etienne, Montpellier and Reims.
Penn Olenoa – Paris Saint-Germain 3: 0
The table leader of the French league was hosted by an opponent from the fifth league and cruised to victory without too many problems. The Parisians enjoyed two penalties in the first half after two failures over Killian Ambape in the box – Ambape himself and Mauro Icardi translated them into goals en route to a promising lead at the break. Ambape completed a double six minutes from the start of the second half and sent his team to the final 32, where they will face Van from the fourth division.
Accommodation-Monlerry – Angers 0: 2
The amateur team from the fifth league stunned with the biggest victory in its history when it defeated an opponent from the first league for the first time, and especially Angers, who are recording a not bad season at all and are in ninth place in the senior league in France. The team from the Princesses hosted the rival from the third league and enjoyed a pair of goals from Wissam Ben Yader, one in the 33rd minute and the other in the 65th minute, which sent her to the next stage.
Bordeaux – Mezuzia (League Six) 0:10
The craziest result we got in the current round came from Bordeaux, which is in a very bad season in the French league when it is only two points away from the red line, but to bring back the smile a little ahead it had to meet a rival in the form of Mezuasia from the sixth division, for which it really did not pity Resonant.
