Never as with the recent pandemic and with the continuous flow of data that accompanied it, have we experienced the power of numbers and their variations in guiding decisions. And we have also seen how whenever there is a force, there can be abuse. We therefore propose a reflection on the importance and delicacy of numbers and on the need for a “culture of data”, not only for those called to decide but also for all citizens who want to live the world to come with awareness and a critical spirit.
