Indian actor Akshay Kumar has announced that he has decided to renounce his Canadian citizenship.

Popular Indian actor Akshay Kumar’s citizenship has been a subject of controversy from time to time. He is often reported to hold a Canadian passport.
Akshay opened up about this issue for the first time last August while this issue has been creating controversy for a long time.
Akshay had said that I belong to India, I am an Indian and I will always be an Indian.
Films that failed
A few years ago, Akshay said that 14, 15 of my films had failed, and then I thought of going to some other country and looking for work.
Akshay said that a friend of his is in Canada and told him that if you can’t succeed in India then come to Canada. Many people move from India to Canada for work. However, they are still Indians.
So I went to Canada thinking that if my destiny didn’t help me in India, I would have something else to do. Akshay says he went to Canada and applied for citizenship and got Canadian citizenship.
But Akshay says that after that he started enjoying success in the industry and decided to stay in India.
In this case, Akshay Kumar has said that he has decided to renounce his Canadian citizenship.
