BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that social anarchy has reached extreme levels across the country. Recently in Kushtia, a youth was cut into 10 pieces by a BCL leader. He himself admitted it. Now they are not only attacking BNP, they are killing themselves by sharing the loot money. In such a situation, the country is heading towards a dire situation.
He said that they are considering themselves the zamindar of Bangladesh by electing on January 7. Our fight against this landlordism will not stop. Because the power of the people must be returned to the people.
Rizvi said these things after distributing leaflets in Gulshan area of the capital on Wednesday (February 14).
On the second day of the nationwide leaflet distribution program under the title ‘Save the country, save the people’, under the leadership of BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the leaders of BNP and allied organizations distributed leaflets from Gulshan number two to Ping city number one. In addition to calling for cancellation of the January 7 parliamentary elections as ‘dummy’, the leaflets demanded the government’s resignation and free elections under a non-partisan government.
Mentioning that the people’s power has been taken away, Rizvi said at that time that the movement and struggle that the BNP and like-minded parties are doing, the movement and struggle is not to get power. That is the struggle to bring back democracy, the struggle to return people’s power to the people. This fight will continue. We must win this fight.
Rizvi said, today Bangladesh has plunged into an extreme darkness. A terrible anarchy is going on in the economic and social spheres. Bangladesh’s sovereignty has been undermined. People of Bangladesh are being joked with. Bangladeshis are being shot like birds at the border.
He said, BSF has the price of goats, but not the price of human beings. Returning the 3 goats is nothing but the best joke of the century. He said that the people of Bangladesh are being joked about today. In that direction, the Teknaf border is running. The farmers of Bangladesh are not able to work in the border due to fear. Farmers are suffering from hunger and our government is silent. They are sitting with folded hands. They do not have the courage to protest. This situation cannot continue. The people of Bangladesh will not sit idly by.
