It all started in January 2022, when the girl became close to the parent through the loss of loved ones – her mother had died, as well as his wife. The girl felt neglected by her grandmother and sister and said that her father left them a long time ago and no one pays attention to her. Through the sympathy of her friend’s father, she developed a liking for him, and at one point the man proposed to her that they become boyfriends. The girl refused and explained that she was only 12. He explained that age was not a problem for him and renewed his proposal after some time and she agreed.
Intercourse took place in July 2022, when the girl had already turned 12. The two met in the city center and the man convinced her to have sex in a meadow hidden by trees, near the stairs leading to Botev’s monument. The second time it happened in October of this year. The girl kept this relationship a secret, but over time the man became jealous of other boys. Tensions escalated on October 2, 2023, when he asked to check the communication on her phone, she refused, he pulled her and punched her in the face. This happened in front of her classmates, who even filmed part of what was happening. Then the girl told about her relationship with the man.
He is accused of intercourse with a girl under 14, but without violence. Faced with the court in Karlovo, admitted his guilt. The girl did not constitute herself as a private accuser.
The sentence is 1 year and 8 months suspended with a probation period of 36 months.
