The Mauritanian Football Federation announced today, Friday, that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has chosen international referee Dahane to lead the final of the current edition of the African Cup of Nations.

Dahhan will officiate the final of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations between the Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria teams, next Sunday.

Dahhan is assisted by Angolan Gerson dos Santos and Zambian Diana Chikotisha, in addition to the fourth referee, Moroccan Bushra Karboubi, while the refereeing crew includes Egyptian Mahmoud Ashour, a video referee, and he is assisted by Rivert Maria.

The 32-year-old managed the African Confederation Cup final last season between Algeria’s USM Algiers and Tanzania’s Young Africans, in addition to managing the final of the U-17 African Cup of Nations in the 2019 edition between Guinea and Cameroon.

In the current edition of the tournament, he managed the matches between Egypt and Mozambique in the group stage and Angola and Namibia in the 16th final.
