A new feature in the iPhone 14 Pro screen .. Get to know it

by time news

The American company, Apple, announced that the feature that has been available on the Apple Watch since 2019, is now on the new iPhone, as the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max have an always-on screen, which displays the selected clock and tools on the device’s screen, even when they are Unlocked and not in active use.

The always-on display that stays lit after the initial timeout period is a technology that’s been available on Android phones (particularly Samsung Galaxy devices) for years, and Apple, which is adding it to iPhone 14 Pro models, points to potential adoption for all iPhones. Apple unveiled the new iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, the Apple Watch Ultra, the Apple Watch 8 and the supercharged AirPods Pro 2, and iOS 16 became available.

Normally, when you lock your iPhone, the lock screen closes and you have to either press a button, lift your phone, or tap your screen to activate it again, and with the always-on screen, the lock screen doesn’t turn off, it stays dim, so you can cast Quick view of time, tools and live activities without touching your phone.

For example, when you receive a text message, you generally only have a few seconds to look at it before the iPhone screen turns off, but with the always-on screen, you have unlimited time to view the message.

And when you flip your iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max face down on a surface or put it in your pocket, the screen will darken as a way to save battery life, as you don’t need to “peek” at the screen when you’re in your pocket or upside down on a table.

Apple said that the always-on display can operate at a refresh rate as low as 1 Hz (that is, once per second) with the new low-power mode, and it also uses multiple co-processors in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max chipsets to refresh the screen using minimal power.

The giant company did not say whether this feature is optional, but it is possible that you can turn it off in your settings, and Apple Watch users can turn off the always-on display in the display and brightness setting, so you will likely turn it off on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, you can customize a similar setting on Samsung phones as well.
