A year ago, ZIUR created the space for the industrial companies of Gipuzkoa to share their experiences regarding cyber security and they have emphasized that they have “consolidated” in recent months. This is indicated by the fact that 30 companies have gathered, two last year, in a meeting that is essential for the industry. 35 CIOs and CISOs (Cyber Security Officers) attended.
“ZIUR is much more than physical space and a supportive technological infrastructure. Following the collaborative governance model we are establishing in Gipuzkoa, it is a strategy to promote collaboration and experimentation. To create new spaces for relationships and networking between companies and stakeholders. Spaces of trust, ‘informal’, but of great value, in this case they allow those who manage the daily life of information and cyber security in companies to share doubts, concerns, procedures, successful cases or new ideas. Such initiatives strengthen us as a territory and as an industry,” explained Ane Insausti, deputy for Economic Promotion and Strategic Projects.
Likewise, Mytra’s Igor Navascues has participated in this meeting, and has defined the results of a project that consists in evaluating the security of the ICS (Industrial Control System, in English acronyms) environments of 18 companies in various industrial sectors. Such initiatives collect very valuable information about the most used devices in organizations, their vulnerabilities and security measures in place, among other things.
Afterwards, Amor Domínguez from TÜViT of the TÜV Nord group presented an overview of the cyber security regulations that are being implemented at European level and that will be applied in the industry. Specifically, in the coming months, important changes will take place in several regulations (NIs2, CRA, IEC 62443), and therefore ZIUR wants to help Gipuzkoa companies to be ready for this new situation.
