An American E-8C ground reconnaissance and strike control aircraft was spotted by the Russian military near the border in the Black Sea region on November 9. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The American plane, which took off from the German Ramstein airbase, hovered for five hours and 13 minutes at an altitude of 7-10 thousand meters over the northwestern, central and northeastern parts of the Black Sea.
“Throughout the entire flight over the Black Sea, the US Air Force reconnaissance aircraft was accompanied by radar systems of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces,” the statement said.
The department clarified that the American E-8C approached the Russian border by at least 35 km.
