According to the experts of the film world, the month of February-March is generally considered to be the exam season, due to which very few big films are released during this period. But this time Ramzan is also starting from the second week of March. Therefore, filmmakers who have been waiting for the release of their films for a long time want to release them before that. Perhaps this is the reason why more than half a dozen films will reach theaters next week. These include films from Bollywood, Hollywood to South Cinema. It is believed that less audiences visit theaters during Ramadan. Actually, in the second and third week of March, big films like Ajay Devgan’s Shaitan, Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Yodha’ and Ada Sharma’s ‘Bastar’ will be released. There is talk of IPL also starting from the third week of March.
No big star’s film on Holi release date
Perhaps this is the reason why this time no big superstar’s film is being released even on the release date of Holi. During this time, Randeep Hooda’s Swatantra Veer Savarkar will be released in theatres. Karan Johar’s Sara Ali Khan starrer film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ is being released directly on OTT. Actually, there is talk of release of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’ and Ajay Devgan’s ‘Maidan’ on Eid weekend in the first week of April. Therefore, many other filmmakers want to release their films before that in the month of March. Experts from the film world also say that there is talk of Lok Sabha elections being announced in March. Therefore, at present the film industry is finding the months of February and March suitable for the release of big films on the occasion of elections and Eid in April. Perhaps this is the reason why despite it being the exam season, film buffs are betting on about two dozen films.
