Actor Alencier to Donate State Film Award Prize Money to Nayanar Trust

The announcement was made at the trust’s medical aid distribution event held in Menamkulam today,” Prasad wrote on Facebook.
Alencier received the Special Jury Mention for his stellar performance in the film “Appan.” Along with the prestigious mention, he was awarded 25,000 rupees and a certificate of merit. The jury praised his powerful portrayal of Ahnanta in the film, a character that exudes a desire to return to life to satisfy his insatiable addictions, spreading hatred and animosity.
The State Film Awards also honored other talented individuals in the industry. Vincy Aloysius was chosen as the Best Actress for her performance in “Rekha.” Meanwhile, Mammootty clinched the Best Actor award for his role in “Nanpakal Neerath Mayakka.”
The Best Director award went to Mahesh Narayanan for his exceptional work in the film “Ariyip.” The Best Film award was given to “Nanpakal Nerath Mayakka,” directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Minister Saji Cherian announced the awards this year. The films were judged by a jury headed by Gautam Ghosh, and a total of 154 films competed for the prestigious accolades.
