Mumbai: The Adani Group has won the bid for the Mumbai-Dharavi redevelopment project, one of the world’s largest slum areas. The highest bidder wins the auction. The Adani Group has sought a total bid of Rs 5,069 crore for this project. It is noteworthy that there are many Tamils ​​living in this area.

Dharavi is spread over an area of ​​about 259 hectares in the state of Maharashtra. Bids are invited for project works to rehabilitate this area. Adani and DLF have called for bids. SVR Srinivas, Chief Executive Officer of the project said that Adani Group has won.

He said that he has sent the related details to the government. He said that the government administration will consider it and take the final decision. He also said that a time limit of seven years has been fixed to rehabilitate about 6.5 lakh slum dwellers living in Dharavi area under this project.

Initially, about 8 people including South Korea and UAE participated in the auction. In the final bid, three were selected by the Reorganization Project Committee. It is now in the hands of Adani. However, the government has to take a final decision in this regard.
