Kabul: Afghanistan’s Women Entrepreneurs Struggle Under Taliban Rule They demanded to ensure better market facilities for their products. They also say that the sale of products is currently limited.

The Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry has asked the Taliban government to organize seminars to ensure market opportunities for women traders. Women producing in the private sector should be provided with permanent markets. It will ensure better marketing, said Mumtaz Yosif Sai, a trader.

After the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in 2021, the Taliban regime has taken a stance of denying the basic rights of women. After first banning university education, the Taliban also banned secondary education. Also many women employees of NGOs working in the country were banned from working. Earlier, the Taliban government had also banned entry into gyms and parks in Afghanistan
