Iringalakuda ∙ All the houses that Innocent built in the country had the same name – Parpitam. Innocent has told everyone that the credit for that name goes to Nedumudi Venu. Innocent built his own house for the first time on Christ College Road. Innocent himself admitted that when the house was finished it looked like a chapel. Now if someone thinks it is a church or a temple, they cannot be wrong. Innocent had prepared a ready-made answer to tell the locals who were inquiring as to why he built such a house.
Thinking that it was a church or a temple, it was said that if someone puts money in it as a gift, he can live in it for a long time. But, even though he answered in a movie style like this, people’s questions started to trouble Innocent.
When Nedumudi shared this grief with Venu on a film set, it was he who suggested that the name be written in front of the house as “Parpitam” which means ‘place of residence’. Later, when 2 houses were built in Teke Angadi, it was still named Parpitam.
