In London, on March 20, a fire broke out in a three-story building. The capital’s police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine whether the fire in the house was an act of anti-Semitic hatred.

This was reported by The Guardian.

A man in his 60s was arrested in connection with the incident. During his arrest, he made several threatening comments, some of which appeared to be anti-Semitic. Officials confirm the fire was started intentionally.

Details of the incident emerged shortly before 12.45pm on Wednesday when officers received reports of a fire in Hackney. As a result of the incident, four people received minor injuries. The fire, which destroyed the first and second floors of the three-story building, was extinguished by eight fire engines and about 60 firefighters.

DCS James Conway noted the seriousness of the situation and stressed that police are treating the incident as a potential hate crime. However, there is no conclusive evidence yet.

In light of the upcoming Jewish holiday of Purim, local authorities are concerned about the protection of the Jewish community of Hackney and surrounding areas.

A spokesperson for the Public Safety Foundation expressed gratitude to the police for their swift action and assured that they will work together to ensure the safety of the local Jewish community in the coming days.

Earlier, Kursor reported that the anti-Semitic attack took place in Berlin. In Berlin, two men were victims of an attack by anti-Semites.
