An ultra-Orthodox group hiking near Niagara Falls won a miracle this week when a pregnant woman who was part of the group slipped off a steep cliff and fell from a height of more than 15 meters | Ended miraculously
An ultra-Orthodox family of Chabad followers from the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, who went on a group trip to Niagara Falls from the wonders of the world that lie between the United States and Canada, found themselves in a stressful situation that could have ended in disaster. The family was walking on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls when the incident occurred.
“I was walking with one of my children while walking, when suddenly my daughter came to me and started shouting at me, ‘Mother fell off the cliff,'” the husband told the Crown Heights Info website. “There was a sheer drop of more than 15 meters, and it is in an elevated part of the path we walked on and it has bumps of rock from top to bottom, and it ends near the water’s edge.”
When the husband shouted his wife’s name, she responded that she was alive and well: “I called the fire department, but since we were deep inside the trail, it took them 45 minutes to an hour to get to us,” the husband explained. “Meanwhile, three gentlemen came down from another part of the trail to help her. From where we were, we had no way to get down to her.”
Nearly fifteen firefighters arrived at the scene and abseiled down the cliff to the injured woman. They were unable to bring her back and so they asked for the delivery of tourists help, and took her in the water to a safe place.
The miracle of the whole incident was revealed at the hospital, where the shocked rescuers were told that the lady was suffering from only minor injuries and that the baby was fine. “When the policeman called me later and I told him that my wife and baby were fine, he just cried,” the happy husband described of the miracle done with his wife and fetus.
