World Champion 2021 Anna Shcherbakova presented a short program of the Olympic season at the test skates of the Russian national figure skating team, which are taking place in Chelyabinsk.
Shcherbakova skated to the song The Songs of Distant Earth by composer Kirill Richter. She cleanly performed a double axel, a triple flip, but was left without a cascade of triple lutz – triple rittberger, as she landed unsuccessfully from the first jump.
– The idea of choosing music belongs to Daniil Gleichengauz, – said the athlete on the air of Channel One. – He let me listen, I thought it was interesting. I wanted to try myself in this image. Now I can say that I like skating this program.
Recall that in the summer at the training camp in Novogorsk, Shcherbakova broke her toe, which knocked her out of the training schedule a little.
“I’m still working on my form,” Anna admitted. – In principle, everything is going according to plan, but, of course, I would like to speed it up. We are working on this with the coaches.
