NVIDIA has announced the expansion of its development centers in Israel with the establishment of a new group that will lead the development of the next generation of CPU processors and processing cores from the company. The group will be attended by a wide range of engineers and developers in various roles: hardware, software, architecture, chip design and more.

Anbidia’s VP of Technology Michael Kagan said: “The State of Israel and its unique human capital are a key factor in the global technology ecosystem, and we are excited to establish a new group here to develop our next generations of processors. We look forward to continuing to expand our local operations, both in the field of research and development and in our extensive support of Israeli developers, researchers and companies through unique programs for start-ups and developers. “

The CPU group will join a variety of groups and R&D teams currently operating at Anvidia Israel and developing the next generation of high-speed communication, supercomputing and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, as well as leading the development of the company’s DPU (Data Processing Unit) chip.

Since the completion of the acquisition of Mellanox in April 2020, Anvidia Israel’s activity has increased by approximately 33%, and today it has more than 2,800 employees and is considered one of the largest and most significant employers in Israeli high-tech. The company’s development teams are scattered in seven development centers in Israel: Yokneam, Tel Hai, Raanana, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Jerusalem, Kiryat Gat and Beer Sheva.

Cyber ​​Security: Free Course for Business Owners

Cisco launches free cyber security and cloud security courses for business owners as a public service.
The courses will be held as part of the Cisco Academy Program, a free online platform that offers various courses and trainings, most at no cost as a social service to the public.

Cisco CEO Oren Sagi said: “Cisco Academy is a socio-technological project that I am very proud of. We have a social responsibility, especially in these challenging times, to stand by the businesses in Israel.”

Cisco will open to the public a cloud security course designed for people with a technological background. The course teaches the basics of computing, information security, infrastructure and cloud risk management, and prepares for the International Certification (CCSK). An introductory course in cyber security for the general public will also be opened, explaining the dangers that exist: trends and types of attacks, the importance of information protection, passwords and more.
