The government in Beijing has banned its employees from using certain foreign smartphone models.

Beijing The Chinese government rejected reports of a ban on the use of iPhones in authorities and state-owned companies on Wednesday. There is no such order, said Mao Ning, spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry. “We hope that all companies operating in China will strictly adhere to China’s data protection law.”
According to insiders and media reports, government employees are no longer allowed to bring smartphones from the US company or other foreign manufacturers to their workplace. China is currently Apple’s third largest sales market. The company introduced the latest generation of its smartphones, the iPhone 15, on Tuesday.
