It was eagerly awaited by Apple disciples; the Apple Vision Pro computer glasses have been on the market since February. Who doesn’t care about her: Mark Zuckerberg (39).
The head of internet giant Meta shared his opinion with the world on Instagram. In it he sharply criticizes the augmented reality glasses of his competitor from Cupertino (California).

What does Zuckerberg have to complain about the Apple Vision Pro?
Above all, Mark Zuckerberg complains about the relationship between price and performance. And the price is actually steep. For the entry-level model with 256 gigabytes of memory, buyers have to shell out a hefty $3,499. If you want more storage, you have to dig deeper into your pockets.
The VR glasses from Zuckerberg’s own forge are called “Meta Quest 3”. He emphasizes that at a price of 549 euros it is seven times cheaper. Freedom of movement and manual control are also more sophisticated. Zuckerberg: “I’m surprised that the Quest is so much better for the vast majority of things at this price difference.”

However, initial feedback on the Vision Pro is enthusiastic. According to Nilay Patel from the technology portal The Verge, the Vision Pro feels “like a superpower” and outperforms other systems “by light years”. “There’s so much technology in this thing that feels like magic when it works, and completely frustrates you when it doesn’t.” The tester continues: “You don’t reach for things and touch them – it’s more like, as if your eyes were the mouse and your fingers were the button: you tap them together to click on whatever you’re looking at.”

What can you actually do with computer glasses?
Zuckerberg calls his model a “mixed reality head set”. Digital and real content are mixed. The device is not a PC in the traditional sense, nor is it a console. The standalone headset does not require any additional devices to operate. Users can download apps, games, films and more directly to the device via WLAN.
Apple Vision Pro also uses “passthrough” technology. Several cameras integrated into the device capture images from the outside world and mix them with digital content.
