The Nyamnyam collective s’approach in the landscapes of the School ofOlot with other eyes, a new look that wants to go beyond convention. At the exhibition Blur the anecdotewhich opens this Saturday and will be available until April 21 at the Museu de la Garrotxa, the collective of Mieres he rereads the paintings of the School of Olot avoiding the instrumentalization of the landscape.

In the painting of the 19th century, the anecdote is human figures, livestock or even the smoke from a chimney that appears in a work, vestiges of an anthropocentric view that, in the case of the Olotin painters, was dominant. It took Joaquim Vayreda a lifetime to free himself from the anecdote and paint natural scenes without elements that would reveal this human footprint.
Nyamnyam opens his house in Mieres for the proposals of twenty artists
The exhibition, a project of the artists Ariadna Rodríguez and Iñaki Álvarez with the collaboration of the Landscape Observatory of Cataloniatakes the form of documentary video creation to approach the landscape from different perspectives. A rancher, a geographer, an art restorer, a philosopher or a climatologist explain what they experience and perceive in their environment, making a choral rereading of the painting The summer of Vayreda.
Blur the anecdote it will be accompanied by complementary activities, including the premiere of a stage proposal at the Sismògraf festival.
