Approval of Unopposed Election of Edappadi Palaniswami as AIADMK General Secretary by Chief Election Commission of India

The Chief Election Commission of India has officially approved the unopposed election of Edappadi Palaniswami as the AIADMK General Secretary. Following the ruling in favor of Palaniswami as the single leader of AIADMK, internal party elections were conducted from March to April last year.

The result of the internal party elections saw Palaniswami being elected unopposed as the general secretary. Other members elected to key positions include Tamil son Usen as the chairman and Dindigul Srinivasan as the treasurer. KP Munuswamy, Natham Viswanathan, and Thambidurai were elected as Deputy General Secretaries, while administrators were also elected to various posts including Organization Secretaries.

The AIADMK filed a petition to the Chief Election Commission of India, requesting the approval of the newly elected officials. The list of elected officials, including Edappadi Palaniswami, has been uploaded on the website of the Chief Election Commission of India.

The Election Commission has also uploaded the documents submitted by Edappadi Palaniswami regarding the election of administrators on their website. The AIADMK expressed its satisfaction with the Election Commission’s announcement, considering it as recognition of Palaniswami’s position as the General Secretary of the party.
