The Corona continues to spread throughout the Premier League and tonight (Saturday) Aston Villa announced that their coach, Steven Gerrard, has been found positive for the virus in a test he performed. Gerard will go into isolation and will miss his team’s next two games against Chelsea and Leeds.

The club’s official statement read: “Aston Villa can confirm that coach Steven Gerrard will not be able to stand on the lines in the next two Premier League games as he will be in isolation following a positive Corona test result”.

The former Liverpool star and current team coach from Birmingham, holds a positive balance of four wins compared to two losses in his first six games at Aston Villa. His team will meet Thomas Tuchel’s team tomorrow (Sunday, 19:30) and his absence could be very significant for his players.
