Back to the age of steam: the new technology for cleaning Florentine

by time news

If you have wandered late at night in the Florentine neighborhood in recent weeks, you must have come across a rather strange sight: a municipal worker in a fluorescent vest walking around the street with something that looks like a vacuum cleaner and using it to clean the sidewalks in the atmosphere of a canal in Laumichel. Now we can already say that this is a new method for cleaning the dirtiest sidewalks in the city, which will gradually be put into use all over the city.

This is a steam and pressure washing machine, a unique procedure that is carried out in addition to the regular patrols of the cleaning vehicles. The machine is intended for cleaning the city sidewalks from particularly tough dirt of fats, chewing gum, ficuses and other yucks and ficuses that creates stains and changes the color of the sidewalk even after the normal cleaning.

The new steam machine emits water and hot steam at a temperature of 80-90 degrees under high pressure, and pumps them back. This unique machine also has a special scrubber, so that with a combination of pressure, water and heat, it removes stubborn stains and renews the pavements. The work is carried out at night and in the early morning hours when the streets are empty, according to a fixed work plan that is increased before holidays and special dates all over the city. nice
