Baerbock’s book: Even passages about your own travels are copied – domestic politics

by time news

Green Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock (40, Greens) even wrote off when it came to her own travel reports!

This is shown by new sources published by the plagiarism hunter Stefan Weber (51). There are now 43 passages in the Baerbock book (“Now. How we renew our country”, Ullstein), which clearly come from a foreign pen.

Remarkable: Baerbock used other authors even for highly emotional experiences he had on business trips.

In the chapter “Heart and Mind”, starting on page 45, she describes how she traveled to Iraq and the autonomous region of Kurdistan as a member of the Bundestag: “I wanted to get an idea of the situation of Yazidi women and children, the captivity and years of torment escaped from IS. ”

▶ ︎ Baerbock goes into detail about the suffering of the Yazidi women that, according to Baerbock on page 47, touched them deeply: “Tears ran down my cheeks. They still do that today when they write. “

But here, too, she copied a passage, this time from the “Deutsche Welle“, Which refers to a study by the human rights organization Amnesty International.

> article “Endless Nightmare for Yazidi Children” (02.08.2020)
“The liberated girls survived sexual violence in the most brutal form at the age of eight, twelve or fourteen. The boys have fared no better. Almost half were abused as child soldiers. Constant beatings, hunger and thirst, severe abuse. They were trained in weapons and forced to fight under death threats. ”
(S. 46)
Many have experienced brutal sexual violence, such as Randa. […] The boys fared no better. Almost half were abused as child soldiers. […] A story of constant beatings, also with cables and plastic pipes, of hunger and thirst, of severe abuse. Sahir was trained in weapons and forced to fight under death threats.

Significant: Even when Baerbock describes the visit to the energy company “50 Hertz” in her book from page 211 onwards, she doesn’t find any words of her own for it – she uses texts from the company website to describe her personal experiences.

► In this passage in the book, Baerbock inserts “we discussed up and down” in her text, so he can refer to his own visits on site – but then goes back to the company text.

Text on the website of the company 50 Hertz (“Systemführung”)
“Inside the Control Center is monitored, controlled and regulated so that millions of people in the north and east of Germany, hospitals, factories, schools and residential buildings can get electricity from their socket 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Several years ago I visited 50 Hertz for the first time.
Back then, we discussed up and down how decentralized electricity could be safely transported over long distances and how it could be guaranteed that the grid frequency would remain stable.
Because the energy that is generated from wind power or photovoltaics is subject to strong fluctuations due to the weather. “(P. 211)
“Here, our team of specialists uses the latest technology to monitor, control and regulate the 50Hertz transmission network. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for millions of people in the north and east of Germany and together with our partners across borders for all of Europe.
